About Us

Built by Natives. Made for the Wild.

At Natives Fly Fishing, our story starts deep in the Appalachian backcountry with a rod, a line, and a passion for wild waters. What began as a personal obsession with fly fishing grew into something much bigger—an idea to help anglers not only land the fish of a lifetime, but to relive it again and again.

Beau Robinson, one of our founders, grew up chasing native brook trout through the remote streams of West Virginia. A lifelong angler and innovator at heart, Beau found himself in a moment every fisherman knows too well—hooked into the biggest fish he’d ever seen, but with no one around to snap the photo. No net, no help, and no proof. That catch slipped away, but it sparked an idea.

That idea became Catch Cam Nets—the first fly fishing net designed to mount a GoPro or action camera right on the handle. No more missed memories, no more fish tales without evidence. Beau built the first version himself, duct-taping a camera to an old wooden net. When that failed, he built a better one. He learned to bend aluminum, attach net bags, and work with a machinist down the street to craft custom mounts—all right here in Fairmont, West Virginia.

Since 2017, Catch Cam Nets have helped anglers capture their biggest moments in 37 states and counting. But this isn’t just about gear—it’s about honoring the experiences, the stories, and the wild places that bring us together.

At Natives Fly Fishing, we believe in doing things the right way—crafting products with purpose, keeping our roots local, and helping people connect more deeply with nature. Whether you’re in it for the thrill of the catch, the solitude of the stream, or the story you’ll tell afterward—we’re here for all of it.

Thanks for being part of our journey.
